The Good Weather for an Airstrike project was initially conceived at the beginning of 2009 to help Winchester, UK-based Tom Honey alleviate the issues caused by suffering from tinnitus, which causes a ringing sensation in the ear and can often result in difficulty sleeping. The idea was to create a collection of relaxing sounds that would help induce sleep.

Since those humble beginnings, GWFAA’s music has been streamed over 30 million times on Spotify as well as being played on BBC Introducing.

GWFAA is also a featured artist on the sleep, meditation and relaxation app ‘Calm’ (Apple’s App of the year 2018 + Google Play Editors Choice 2018) and has been featured on New York Magazine and Nowness. GWFAA’s work draws on all of his musical influences and presents itself as a rich tapestry of lulling drones that hints at a diluted form of post-rock.

Support: Leaves in Motion

Leaves in Motion is the ambient instrumental project of songwriter and guitarist, A.M. Davis. Originally created as a response to difficulties with sleep caused by tinnitus and an overactive mind, the idea was to produce music and soundscapes that could be used alongside a number of calming applications like sleep, meditation, relaxation and studying, through the use of lush reverbs, drones and minimalist guitar-playing. Inspired as much by music as the natural sounds of the world around us, the project aims to represent the fusion and harmony of these things, with the pursuit of repose for the mind and body at it's core.
