GiggleBugs is a music and movement multi-sensory class for babies and toddlers run by Lotte Bennett. Designed and led by a professional musical theatre actress, the age-appropriate sessions are packed with high-quality music, rhythm, instruments and sensory play.

GiggleBugs classes will lay secure and stimulating foundations for learning about music, and will build your Little One's confidence, knowledge and curiosity in both music and movement.

Through the imaginative exploration of instruments, voice, props and dance, we embark on magical musical adventures that will take your child's breath away!

A fantastic introduction to the wonderful world of musicals! We encourage everyone to be themselves and express their creativity in a fun, safe and supportive environment as they grow as both young performers and as individuals. As well as taking their first steps on stage, our young company also learn important skills in communication, commitment and working together as they make new friends, becoming part of a group who all love to perform and where every person plays a vital role in the show’s success.

Our sessions run weekly (term-time) at The Nutshell, Winchester; a rehearsal schedule will be emailed at the start of each term. We perform one musical in the summer and rehearse for the full academic year.

Due to demand, we are thrilled to be offering another class starting in September 2023 and will have two cohorts each year. You can choose from either Mondays (4-5pm) or Saturdays (10-11am).

Have you a passion for the theatre and a love of acting? Are you ready to take some risks and behave a bit outrageously? Or do you just want to have fun and make some new friends?

This friendly and social group uses games, improvisation, and theatre skills to explore storytelling, character, and using the imagination to create inspiring and uplifting performances in our safe, inclusive, and welcoming home, The Nutshell. The most important thing is to enjoy yourself, laugh a lot, and be part of a great company of like-minded people.

No previous acting experience is necessary, you can sign up to join us at any time, and if you’re more interested in getting involved in the production side rather than taking part on stage, we can make that happen too!

Got some extra time? Stick around for a slice of cake and a coffee from 11.30am-12pm each week.

Our oldest DNYT musicals group offers our older company members the opportunity to perform some of the most trailblazing, thought-provoking and inspiring shows that have taken Broadway and the West End by storm. The company is a safe place for every person, whose individuality is not only celebrated but actively encouraged. Rehearsals are fun, but require hard-work and commitment, as our reputation for creating performances of the highest quality is excellent. However, you don’t need to be the very best at singing, dancing and acting as our company is made up of people with a shared passion and enthusiasm for musical theatre and live performance; if this is you, then you will be most welcome!

As young people grow, we want to provide them with creative experiences and activities that challenge their thinking and artistic understanding. For those in academic years 4-8 we offer a fun, exciting and unique theatrical experience.

Company members spend their year learning about devising through improvisation and games, whilst simultaneously creating their own production, based on a classic story or play, to perform in the summer. This is all done in a fun, friendly and supportive environment, with each member nurtured and encouraged to grow both as performers and as individuals.

Rehearsals run weekly every Tuesday evening at The Nutshell starting in September 2023, and culminating in a performance in June 2024.

Our oldest DNYT group is a cutting edge company of young actors committed to creating breath-taking & high-quality contemporary adaptations of classic plays and stories. Our members, aged between 12-25, are talented, inclusive young people with a passion for acting and live theatre. They are also enthusiastic team players with a strong desire to strengthen their performance and personal skills, and a commitment to having fun in a friendly, safe and professional space.

The standard of performance training and the production values that DNYT provide create an ideal environment for anyone wanting to make the performing arts their career. We actively ensure that we nurture and support each and every one of our members, giving them a wholly positive, high-quality experience which will continue to benefit them, whatever career they decide to embark on, in the future.
