Alex Western-King & Gareth Fowler
Alex Western-King is an award-winning musician who is generally considered to be one of the most talented saxophonists of his generation. With an impressive CV and a band comprised of some of the most in demand jazz musicians in Europe, Alex is rapidly positioning himself at the forefront of the jazz scene.
Having shared the stage with the likes of Dame Cleo Laine, Justin Stanton (Snarky Puppy), Julian Siegel, Gareth Lockrane and more, Alex is now striking out with his debut release, 'SideSlip' on Ubuntu Music.
Gareth Fowler is an award winning guitarist. Graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, he is becoming one of the most in-demand musicians on the scene today.
Gareth has performed across Europe, South Africa, South America, Malaysia and the USA at world renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall, Albert hall, 55 bar, Bar next door, Queen Elizabeth hall, Ronnie Scott’s and many others.

Charlie and Luke are both freelance musicians and first met when they were in the same orchestra together in their teens. They are both members of award-winning swing band Down For The Count, and also run a 50-piece community band called Camden Light Orchestra.
Charlie Pyne is a double bass player and vocalist based in North London. Charlie has played low notes for a huge range of events, from original jazz projects (Yazz Ahmed, Zoe Rahman, Filomena Campus and Ilario Ferrari) to private events for the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle!
Luke Pinkstone plays all the different sizes of saxophone as well as flute and clarinet. Luke has gigged with lots of different bands including Hackney Colliery Band, Billy Joel Songbook with Elio Pace, Molotov Jukebox and Tom Grennan. Luke also has an impressive list of venues where he has played, including Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, Buckingham Palace, The Stables at Wavendon, and the Sage Gateshead.
Luke and Charlie have a little boy called Arthur who is 16 months old, they have tried out all their tunes for JazzBops on Arthur first - he is a very discerning audience!
