A Discarded Nut Youth Theatre Holiday Workshop.

A fun, practical and supportive day looking at how to sing in character and explore acting and vocal techniques that will give you the knowledge and confidence to smash your next musical theatre audition or performance.

This workshop is suitable for young people of any singing ability or acting experience who want to improve their singing and understand how to get the most out of a song.

Working with Musical Director, Hannah Castleman, and Artistic Director, Noël Jones, you will explore lyrics, the meaning behind each song, play with its staging whilst developing some useful performance techniques.

You will be learning songs from three incredible musicals – Oklahoma, Spring Awakening and The Addams Family – which will allow you to explore a range of styles and characters. Backing tracks, lyrics and sheet music for each song will be provided.
